My mother’s death

I still remember the day,
The weather was nice,
I think it was Sunday,
A lazy day to spend on a vise.

A child of eighth standard,
Enjoying his chocolate milk,
Without much worry of the world,
Life as smooth as cloth of silk.

But ,alas,
all good things ends,
The absolute law,
Fate’s general trends.

This lesson,
The child was about to learn,
His life was going to take,
A hard and dramatic turn.

Suddenly,
His mother starts coughing,
She a patient of Asthma,
Felt problem in breathing.
Child still not worried,
As, father was with mother,
He will take care of everything,

But, papa can do so much,
Sometimes, it takes more than,
A dear’s love magic touch,
Not a would, healed by a kiss,
Mother’s lung needs a crutch,
A machine to filter oxygen,
His mother need much.

But ,alas,
Even machines are no match,
To almighty ‘Yama’, god of death.
The child now realises the situation,
Rush to his mother’s side,
First time felt real desparation.

Entire family was in the room,
Not for dinner, just gloom,
Papa constantly checking heart beat,
As high as that of an athlete.

That sounds like a compliment,
But mother is thin and weak,
Sign of fate’s dreadful intent,
Like a slaughter house’s reek.

She complains of great restlessness,
Child feel something foul has commence,
Her body starts getting cold,
Child looks desparatly to father,
For sign of some hope,
Got an equally desparate look rather.

With nothing to do ,
He start rubbing her feat.
Against lord Yama,
He refused to accept defeat.

What a child can do,
Mother grew unconscious,
She spoke quickly to him,
Don’t cry little mister,
I will be alright, if you promise,
Never to fight your sister.

Before child can take the vow,
Mother grew unconscious,
No way now, to let mother know,
As these words will be remembered,
As last of her voice heard.

Heartbeat declined rapidly,
Child grew anxious by the moment,
Cusred himself for being lazy,
In first aid class of CPR remitence.

She grew pailer by the moment,
Then the siren sounds,
Ambulance took his mother,
Away from all bounds,
Never to return to him,
Across umcimbable mounds.

What can a child do,
Has no control over death.
Except one thing,
Wish of her last breath.

So, I look to the sky,
And made this resolve,
Never ever to shy,
From hard work, even absolve,
To protect my sister from every cry,
I will be strong and brave,
This will be my good bye.

There is always something to give

The novel ‘Shadowfell’ may be only all average teenage fantasy novel. But a thing that I liked about it is the like ‘there is always something to give’.
The protagonist tried to give always give something to a needy even if she was herself one.
But this seems possible in a story only.
Have you heard a begger giving something to help someone. Or a bankrupt company investing in another company? I haven’t.
How can we give something if we have nothing ourselves?
With this thought another thing I remembered. It was said by a Pandit in some Shanti Paath( a Hindi ritual ceremony).
The topic was levels of helping.
The art of helping can be along 3 levels

1. In the First level , we directly help others by giving some materialistic resource. It can be financial or non financial or physical help.
Like you give your friend a ride to home. Or give some money to help a poor or help an blind man to cross the road.
This is the highest and most punya( your goodness count of Karma) awarding as you give some resources (time, money , others) that may be
useful to you in this life or Right now.

2. Well if you are as good as the needy person , you still have the second level. You can talk to will You can say condition words to release some of hours tension.
It may not solve his problems but at least his inner feeling will trouble him less.
If you have nothing material to give use your words. Motivate him to face the problem. Don’t let them think negatively. May be this is what he needs. May be sing a song for him.
This level awards less punya points then first level.

3. If you can’t even do this. Because of any reason like cultural differences or this is not the place for you talk or you think that the person may misunderstand your words and intensions . Or you are far far away. But you soul wanna help.
One thing you can still give. A small prayer. Pray to the god which ever you beleive in. Pray for him to be victorious in facing the problem.
You can always pray and it hold value. If you cannot help directly ask God to do it. This is the last you can do.
May be it not seen enough. But something is better then nothing.
It awards the punya points but already you will be satisfied that you have donr something. And you will also show gods that you have the spirit to help those in need .
This process that there is always something to give even when you have nothing.
Here ends this post. Hope you like it. I will pray for you.

                            (My father)

A beautiful poem written for me by my papa, the person I love the most, the person I trust the most.
It is the my best birthday gift. Even best than my Xperia Z1.
Why because it does Papa’s changing view of me. He is now not looking at a child who went in his lap every time he has some problem. Nor a teenager who needs his guidance at every corner. He sees a mature adult who can take his own responsibility. Who knows what he needs to do? Who is not his burden rather his strength?
I owe papa very much. He just not took care of my financial needs. Rather he is my flashlight who guided. He is the one who helped me reasons my love for pretty programming. He is the one who encouraged me for writing.( my english till 3rd was really weak. I now understand the worth of those hours of translation and grammer lessons).
Form big things to small things like showing me bus routes to collage to helping me in studying Maths(he has not studied the collage level maths. He studied now just for me).
Now, when I am old enough I am keen on returning something. I have realised the best thing I can return him is pride and happiness that a parent get on setting his/her child winning in life. Satisfaction that his parenting was right.
This is one of the main reason I started blogging. I loved the emotions on his face when I told his I have reached more than 25 followers (lots of thanks to all my followers).
Well, it is just a beginning. I still have to learn a lot to be able to take all his responsibilities. Thankfully, I have papa and that is more than enough.
Thank typo for reading. Always remember what type parents means to you and what you mean to them.

Mother nature is not even targeting us

On   I was sitting at my home studying for upcoming exams, just then I felt the bed is vibrating , and so does the floor and everything around. Wah! What was happening. A 7.9 earthquake struck Nepal and the entire northern India including Delhi (where I live). The vibrations were low in Delhi. But it continued for more than 2 minutes. I speculated that some place would not have been so lucky.
The epicenter of the earthquake was at Katmandu, Nepal , a country that was not at all ready for such calamity. Till now dearth tool has reached above 10,000 and increasing. Three is how damage to infrastructure and reconstruction would be worth about 60,000 crore rupees (10 billion dollars i.e approximately 40% of country’s GDP).
Nepal is a poor country full of poors . This calamity has featured everything for many. More than 1.4 million children are homeless, cold and hungry. Millions are relying only on uncoupled noodles for food.
Why all this to the most vulnerable? Why mother nature showed its wrath on these poor people? Mother nature should be living and caring. When you look at those people anyone will doubt this.
So does mother nature is not do divine, not do loving and caring, not so mother like. She brings earthquake, tsunamis, feminine, eruptions killing millions and destroying everything for millions more. Separating the families, killing dear once, destroying someone’s home. This is not what we except from a mother. Do we? Mother should be exact opposite.
So do we abolish the phrase mother nature ? Do we start believing that there is nothing divine about mother nature? Does humanity is an orphan ?
If you agree on this you w will change your opinion in next 5 minutes. Just read till the end .
Do you know how much energy is released during a normal earthquake? It is really more than 10,000 times the energy released when Hiroshima was destroyed by the fat boy(code name of nuclear weapon that destroyed Hiroshima during world war 2). Yes you hear it correct. That much energy. Even a cyclone have energy around 2-3 thousand Hiroshima bomb. A tsunami easily have energy of 1,00,000 Hiroshima bomb. What that means. Even a normal earthquake have the potential to destroy 10,000 cities.
But does any calamity in the entire human history has done such case destruction. No, because otherwise humanity will not be thriving on earth. I believe that we would not even present on this planet. Human race would have been extinct thousand of years ago.
We are fortunate that mother nature is not specifically targeting us. Otherwise………
We humans give too much importance to ourself. May be we are at top of the food chains. We are most intelligent being. But we all know how much we are dependant on nature. We are a very small civilisation at the corner of the vast universe. We areusext to nothing when compared with mother nature.
But mother nature doesn’t think like that. She considers us her dear children. She had given us the air we breathe, tthewater we drink, solid earth to live on – perfect conditions to live a good life.
Then why these calamities come. This is because even mother nature sometimes require to release some pressure. Do you know if an earthquake have never happened in human history. Earthquakes are result of movements of tectonic plates. Only way to stop earthquake is to stop this movement. But this movement is important for recycling carbon that is an essential condition for life. In big planets like Saturn or Jupiter where there is no tectonic movement for to very strong gravity , life will be not possible (even if they have all other conditions to support life).
Hence, whatever mother nature does is for the well being of her children. There is colletral damage in everything. We have to understand that mother nature have very big responsibly of maintaining this universe and all her children. She cannot love only a few.
May be you have lost someone dear in a natural calamity(I pray that out is not so), you may find my opinion offensive. Try to put your self at the place of mother nature. You will feel great power. But with great power comes great responsibility. This is one of the greatest law of nature that it cannot break itself.
Even then she tried to protect us as much as possible. Like in Nepal earthquake 10,000 people died and in Hiroshima more than 1,50,000 people have for in the nuclear blast.
Mother nature have given us so much and what we have returned. Ecological imbalance or global warming. Harming her other children. Do you think she will tolerate this. All this calamities are just a small warning. Warning for us to rectify out mistake when it is still time. Else we will be punished. Mother nature will protect life at any cost. Even if cost is our extinction. She has done this before (like when dinosaurs proceed to be threatening to other life forms they are blown away) , she will do it again if necessary. It is better if we improve before that.
May be we cannot stop any natural calamity but we can at least help those affected by it. This way we can show her that we are deserving of her love and much. Pray with me that soul of all who lost their life in Nepal earthquake may test in peace in the lap of mother nature and born again from her womb to live a happy life and serve their fellow beings.
Thanks for reading. May you have a blissful life.

A small divine intervention

I am a firm believer in god. May be I can’t call them a great devotee of krishna. But still I try to remember him atheast once in a day. But as in the nature of every human being,  we usually take for granted things that we can get easily. We start ignoring them. In our busy life we forget that they even exist.
I am no exception to this. Last week proved to be a really long week for me. I gave my internal exams.  5 subject 5 days back to back. It was a really tiring week. Syllabus was almost full with no holiday in between.
But I was confident in my preparations and did good in first three exams. I was confident that next exam will also pass away like other three. So I went to hang out with my friends and got home late in the evening.  But that confidence proved to be over confidence. I was like blown away that next was Software Engineering.  I was in the wrong assumption that next was Java (which I can top without opening the book).  And was SE the subject dread. OMG I am dead.
I haven’t open the notes of SE in the entire semester.  I became too afraid.  I was not able to handle pressure at that time and took a novel and start reading it. I accepted that there is no point in studying. I am tired and syllabus is too much.Alas!  I will fail tragically.
I went to sleep early.  But I was very restless.  I woke up at 3 am from a bad dream. I realise that I was really thirsty and went to kitchen in the dead of the night.
I was confused why the night bulb of veranda was off. As soon as I went out of my room.  I saw the temple of our house.  It’s light was on. It shouldn’t be. (god sleeps too).
But as I got near I was astonished by its beauty.  The idols of the gods look majestic like the glow is coming from them. I sit in front of the temple and chant a small prayer. The peace I got at that time cannot be described in words. It was soo peaceful with complete silence ans no one to disturb. I took out my phone and captured some photos.

Isn’t it something? Suddenly realized I felt very fresh.  I felt rejenuated. It was an amazing feeling.  I looked at the clock. It was quarter past 3 but I was in no mood of sleeping.  So why not study a little bit? I thought I can atheast try.  There is still 6 hrs for exam to begin.
I switched of the temple ‘s bulb and went to my desk. I went through important topics.  Though SE is a complete theory subject (I such in craming up),  I realised it has a nice pattern and logic to it.  May be I should have tried to study it before. It is not so bad.
The next day I went to the exam with a little bit of confidence.  Miraculously most of the questions that came,  I have studied last night only.  I wrote whatever I know in the best way possible.
When I came out I have a smile of satisfaction on my face. Though I will not get 30( full marks),  not even 25.  But I am surely to get above 20. That is more than enough for me.
When I went home,  I came to know that my sister have forgot to switch of the temple’s light last night. She have never  forgot this in my memory.  So why only last night? Why questions paper is full of questions that I have studied? How I got so much peace to in a restless night?
There is a high chance that this all is a coincidence. But in my heart I believe it something much greater.  Something much more powerful.
I believe it is a blessing from him.  The one who rules this universe.  The one who is the programmer of all things in the mighty the universe.
I realised that beside last night I have never remembered lord Krishna in the entire week. My ego has misted my thinking. I got too proud of myself.  I forgot god even exists.
But he never forgot me. He come to me when I most needed. He gave peace to my restless soul. He gave courage to me in time of fear.
This may be a small thing.  It was just an exam(that too internal). But it has given me a story to tell. It has given me a moral teaching that I will remember all my life. Never take anything for granted.
Tell me can you remember last time you visited a nearby Temple( church/gurudwara/masjid wherever you go). If you can very good.  If you cannot please find a little time for him. He has given you air,  water,  earth,  family,  this beautiful life but the greatest treasure he has hidden in himself that is peace.
Thank you for reading.  Hope this was worth your time.  Don’t forget to share your thoughts.

Patience and Passion – Key to success

Sai Baba , a holy saint who has earned a place that equals god in the hearts of many. He has millions of followers in India and around the world.

image

His teachings can be easily applied practical in day to day life.
He has given two virtues which guarantee success in anything you aim for .
     Shradha and Saburi
    Passion and Patience
IF anybody has these 2 things he/she can achieve anything , whatever he/she desires , whatever his or her dreams are.
This is not a thing for which you can say “happens in fairy tales” or
“Looks good in saying , practical not possible” .
I completely agree that it is difficult but it never can be impossible.
Let us analyse passion first . What words came to your mind when you hear passion . Determination , motivation , will . Passion is much more than these. While these all are good for short term goals of your life . You need passion to achieve something big .
Passion is your insistence for your goals , your insistence to accept defeat .
Passion is your battle with external and internal forces that hidden in the path to your goal. External forces like distractions , family or power pressure etc. Internal forces comes from within you like your ego , laziness , hesitation etc. You need to fight them to achieve your goal.
There are various ways to fight them to develop and maintain your passion
1. Be positive always
Look at everything with a positive altitude . Weather it is mockery or insults or criticism. Try to learn from everything . When you see positive on negative things , they will make you mentally stronger as well as will bring out your weaknesses and strengths.
2.Make sure you deserve it
Put enough efforts to strive for your goals . Anything can only be obtained with hard work . You have no right to blame god or fate when out it is your fault . You cannot have passion along with guilt .
3. Try to take the right path always
Try not to take any unethical path to achieve your goals. The wrong path will eventually harm you in some way or the other. You will never have satisfaction or peace of mind even if you will succeed . For more info on this you can read
http://wp.me/p5ZVm7-d
4.You can always use technology
Search you smartphone’s app or play ( our any other) store for
goal tracking apps . When you visually see the bar of your goal rising , you will be motivated you carry on forwarded . Also you can judge are you upto the mark.
      The apps I use are
    http://goo.gl/bymX7 and https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lvl.xpbar

You may have lots of passion but it may not be enough. You should keep Patience. Everything happens when its time comes

image

Fate will not give you anything easily. First you have to show it that you deserve it . Patience is a virtue that can help you in everything in your life.
Patient do not mean that you sit idle . You should keep doing your part . Keep striving for the goal . Don’t get upset when you don’t get desired result . Don’t leave anything just because of small defeats . Sooner or layer you will get what you deserve . Remember these words of Lord Krishna

Do not

worry about the fruit. That is my responsibility. Just keep doing your action.

Patience is not just a virtue . It is wisdom . These are some simple ways to maintain patience in your journey to your goal.
1. Proper planning of time as well as other things
Take time to first finale a plan of things. Make a note of things you need to do or what you need .
Analyse your goal . Find previously what you want . You don’t want to waste time chasing something not important . Make a priority list of things . Make a timetable or a to do list each day in the morning.
You know the best . Follow any method that work for you.
Proper planning may take some initial time not will save a lot on the long run. Also , you will avoid confusion and unnecessary frustration.

2.Decompose or break your goals in small targets
Small targets are easy to achieve . Completing them provides motivation and satisfaction . You will not rush for things . Also it makes your path flexible . You can change it when circumstances change without loosing much progress that you have made.
This method more gaining great importance in corporate world . It can be applied to anything.
You can use some goal tracking apps that can break down goals got you.
I prefer this app http://goo.gl/bymX7 . Search for smart goal tracker if your phone doesn’t run on android.
A screen shot with weekly targets

3. Find time to rest and recreation

Rest if you must but don’t you quit

You cannot work 24 hours a day. Take ample time to rest . Also , take time for recreation . Don’t suit idle for resting . You will only keep thinking about your work and will not rest your brain . Divert your mind a little . Take a walk in a park close to the nature . Take on some hobby painting , reading(it is best), chatting with friends , facebook our whatever you like. But beware never forget what your goal is . Don’t let any of this became a distraction.

This is all  in this article . Passion and patience , virtues taught buy a saint many years back are actually much more than just sayings . They are art of living.
I can draw only one conclusion from ask this . That mantra of success is no rocket science it is just 2 words.
    Shraddha aur Saburi
     Passion and Patience
